Default Paint finish and RAL colour

Have got engine out today and want to send the oil cooler and water pump pipes away for powder coating.

First question is can these be powder coated or do the need other paint finish and second question can anybody advise the paint RAL colour.
Thanks

As you are very likely to be painting the block and sump with Volvo engine red, (Brookhouse) it's much more economical to finish the pipes etc with the same paint. There aren't many pipes and small parts that are red and the proper engine paint flows on easily to give a good finish. You might need 2 tins of paint but that will be much cheaper than what the powder coaters charge. They often have minimum charge per colour. Was £65 when I had my roof rack done. That did include blasting.
