As I mentioned earlier, there is no air-con listed.??...does that mean the car doesn't have it.?...although I'm not in the market for it, I personally wouldn't buy a car without aircon/climate control....I'm sure many would perhaps disagree...but it might just "slow down" the sale.?
Good luck anyway...it IS a nice looking motor.

All the tongue in cheek comments aside, as comical as they have been, very little seperates the R and T-5R models at least not enough to impact the sale of your car. First came the T-5R this was limited in production and then after a few subtle changes came the R which superseeded the T-5R and wasn't limited in production but sold in similar numbers to the T-5R. Put simply both are T5's with a few little extras making them slightly sportier than the T5 and indeed the range toppers of their time in the 850 range, as a result they do tend to benefit from having a greater appeal which has helped them command a slightly higher value over their sister model the T5.

Essentially as far as I can see from your pictures what you have is an 850R which is the supersession of the original T-5R. Someone has fitted a T-5R badge on your car in addition to the factory fitted badging. So you have a contradiction in terms with both the R and T-5R badges as they are two seperate models ideally you need to remove the T-5R badge

Tony we all know a Grey R is better than a Red R

Jon,

Sorry for the late reply but Andy is nearly right, apart from his last comment aimed at Tony (strbryan) and it should read that a black manual 854 T-5R is better than either a grey or a red 850R.. (open the can, large, containing worms!! pmsl)

To answer your question, I can tell from your pictures that yours is a later 850R from the interior seats (bolsters are higher, more supportive and opposite material to the T-5R ie. leather where suade is and suade where leather is, or alcantera to be precise).. As well as the steering wheel, handbrake cover, gearknob, wheels and the silly T-5R emblem on the tailgate (which your car is not allowed to wear!! lol)

I hope all of us T-5R and 850R owners have not put anyone off the sale of this genuine 855R and if anything the potential buyers at least are now more informed..

HTH as well,

Scott..

Nice looking car IMO, and the price isn't too far wide of the mark (compared to some I've seen on ****edHeads).

Hope the sale goes well.
