language change costs if you decide to go the legal way, however there are garages who can do this without additional fee. how exactly idk, i just know a local guy who does this for 50eur. keep searching around

Default new v50 owner an loving it

Hey there all, I see this is a common issue, and I'm keen to fix it. I have recently bought a 05 v50 and loving it! It's my first euro and it's such a pleasure to drive!

I would like to understand the dash though.

What's the best solution? Spend up? I'm fairly technical so I am tempted to grab the aliexpress device and try change it myself, but I'm unsure of the risks.

Any updates as to what the best way is? Thanks!

Cool I have an Italian XC90

Hi,

I have read back throught he posts and I cant seem to find a clear solution to the problem of ownining a car with a different language being displayed.

I live in France and can read English and French, but the dash of my XC90 is in Italian. Not a massive problem but at least if it was in French it would be easier to sell, when that day comes.

I dont want to pay a great deal and i am keen to know if there is a low cost option.

Hi All

Same boat here and also in Auckland, NZ. I have a V50 (2004) in Japanese and looking to change to English. Has this problem been solved yet without a hefty price tag?

Hey mate, Aucklander here with V60. Would be keen for some help with this also. Can you PM me? It doesn't seem to let me PM if I have less than 30 posts.
