S40: - Potential S40 owner

Hello everyone, My name is Dez and i'm new to the forum.

I have a question regarding a 2005 S40 SE 2.0D Sport that i'm considering buying.

I was an owner of a 2005 V50 SE in the past and loved it but sold it on much to my regret now.

Does anyone have any experience with the S40 type mentioned above?

The milage is 78,000 m / 125,529 km. Private sale not a dealer.

I know that you can't answer good buy, bad buy, but any tips on what to look for when viewing, what servicing work should have been done to date of milage etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome Dez,

It may be worth posting the same question in the S40 / V50 '04> / C70 '06> / C30 '07> General and Diesel Engines sections for a better response.

Also, do a search for buying diesel and see what comes up.
