Default Would you sell your car to this man ?

Hi All,
My mate has his S80 for sale, and has recieved this reply:

Hi thanks for the reply. Due to my scheme of work I unfortunately
won't be able to view your car, nonetheless I still want to buy it.
I want to buy this car for my Cousin, as a birthday present, (his
birthday is in 2 weeks, so I want to buy it straightaway) I can only
pay through PayPal at the moment as I don't have access to my bank
account online (I don't have internet banking with it), but I have it
attached to my PayPal account, and this is why I'm insisting on using
PayPal to pay, another reason being is that it is a safe transaction,
so it will be safe for the both of us.
Once the money has cleared in your PayPal account, and you inform me,
I will arrange a shipping company; DHL, to come and pick the car up
from your home, and ship it to my cousin's house in time for his
birthday.
All I will need is your PayPal email address to make the payments, and
if you don't have a PayPal account yet, you can easily set one up at
www.paypal.co.uk it will only take you a few minutes to do that, I
will be expecting your PayPal email account so I can pay at once.

Note: I will also include the shipping company's fee so kindly get
back to me with your PayPal email account so I can proceed with the
payment ASAP...
Thanks, in advance.

WOULD YOU RISK IT ????

I told my mate to look elseware.
Joe.

Was this a Ebay message or a email?

I was not aware DHL would collect a"Whole" car.

Who the hell buys a big, juicy and costly motor like an S80 without so much as even seeing it. FFS!!!
I wouldn't give any details whatsoever out.

I got a few emails from my autotrader ad when I sold my S-Max to buy the XC90. They all followed a similar trend with shipping costs to be reimbursed and some story about being cheaper than those on the Continent or Ireland.

Almost all had a @gmail.com address.

Stay well clear.

It's not a question of losing your car, what he wants is your Paypal and bank account details.

The way it goes is that these people. on seeing that you've fallen for their scheme, will then try the "Oh but Paypal is expensive, why don't I just transfer the money straight into your bank account" scam, and that's when your troubles really start.

As mentioned above, someone is gonna try to rip you off. If you get anything else from him, just delete it straight away, dont even open it.
