Scratchy noises could also be one of the 4 x DC blocking electrolytic capacitors visible in the signal path

Easy peasy stuff to repair. I used to live and breathe this sort of repair work.

Thanks for that again Swiss I am not confident in electronics to be honest, I have spoke to a few breakers today and none of them have one the only ones I can find are in America or Lithuania they are around £55 delivered, so I may go for one of those or try someone local to have a look first.

Occasionally when you switch the system on there is a popping through the speakers and then it works but most of the time nothing , which is probably the amp bit which is what you said will keep you posted when I get it sorted thanks again for the info.

Hi FYI, I bought a replacement wing mirror from Lithuania, good price, excellent service and no duty to pay.

Highly recommended as far as I concerned

Cheers

55 GBP delivered is probably your cheapest and most hassle free option whichever way you look at it

Go Lithuania, closer and quicker than USA

Just an update on this been coping with the headphones for a while no problems, but after reading some posts on here about the injector connections and lumpy running thought I would get some contact cleaner and clean them as it was running abit lumpy compared to normal, after doing it runs much smoother.

So I thought I would give the module an absolute soaking in it and the plug put it all back together and it works fine again, sound through the speakers must of been a bad connection some where.

Thanks for the help on this and other posts which helped me getting in to run better.
