Is there anyway of telling which version of sensus your car is running? Does it have an info page with the OS details on it?

As I understand it the car follows the lane not the traffic in the adjacent lane, so may get a bit close at times, although it may just be perspective, anyone had a passenger look to see how close it really is?

After my upgrade the improvement was with the overtaking and lane finding, and pulling back into nnear side lane again, it still steers what looks like too far to the left from the drivers view but it is in the centre of the lane, when I ask my wife what it looks like from the passenger seat she says it looks as it is on the right of the lane, like you I would prefer a little more of a gap between vehicles when overtaking.

I think someone is telling "porkies" Quacker, when I complained about my car being to far left when under PA2 the technician obviously altered something as it is now centred perfectly within the lane. This was done about a year ago and it has been great ever since

My 2018 car came with Sensus 2. (The Version without the check-list on starting.) And the PA2 had the snap into line feature from the beginning. I resently got the Software update to the Version with check-list on starting and noticed no difference in PA2 behaviour.

My car drives in the middle of the lane as long as the road is level. If it is not level the car will drive more to the side that is down.

Also a driver normally will adjust the cars position in the lane more dynamically. We try subconscious to keep more distance to other cars (especially Lorries). Depending on if they are driving toward us or we are overtaking them that might be more right or left. The PA2 does not do that and so we get the feeling the car is not in the right position of the lane.

That's what mirrors are for. Anyhow, the car drives around 2'6" from the left hand white line, even though it might be five feet from the right hand line.
When a truck is driving on the edge of the line in the lane to the left, 2'6 feels and looks too close for comfort.

Until you get used to it, I suppose.

Well this was the regional service manager and he said he had been asked many times and the answer was no, it couldn't be done. He may well have been lying, because car people tend to say whatever the customer wants to hear, but in this case we both knew it was not what I wanted to hear.

If it was possible, what would be the reason for denying it and not doing mine while it and he was at the dealership?

If you have more detailed information as to what you believe was done to yours, and it was probably as a result of reading your account previously that I asked the dealer to sort mine, do please let us know. Its certainly something that I would prefer done to mine.

I do not have the checklist update yet, I noticed the difference after the first Sensus 2 update, which you had when you bought your car. So you already had the PA2 improvement, there wont have been a PA2 update for the checklist version.
