Default New, to me, XC70

Hi, after a bit of searching and juggling options with wifey, eventually found a nice '09 SE Lux model. Drive it home yesterday from Bradford via Holyhead to NI. It was a good opportunity to get acquainted!

Not a riveting driving experience but a nice driver all the same. A few observations so far:
1 Rear view mirror compass is nice but a PITA at night as it's too bright.
2 Fitted phone system is also a PITA as I was expecting a Bluetooth system. Have to figure that one out.
3 Mounting base is there for the Garmin Nuvi, which is missing. Hope this is still available as it might solve the phone issue, sort of, as well as being a sat nav.
4 No DAB. Any suggested solutions as the sound system is great? HP system is installed.
5 Bi-Xenon headlights are superb!
6 Front seat cooling is also, well, cool. Was nice yesterday in the warm.
7 As was the case with my '04 90, the leather and general build quality is great. Mine has only 66k miles but even at 9 it still looks great internally and externally.

Two main questions if I may please: what is the recommended timing belt change mileage (can't remember from when I had the 90) and what is recommended situation with 6 speed 'box and oil changes and how hard is it?
Last but not least, is Haldex oil and filter change a requirement and how hard? Never did that on the 90.

Many thanks.

I'm pretty sure the 3.2l 6 has a timing chain.

I know there's an instructional pictorial (not a video) on one of these forums regarding changing the Haldex fluid and filter as I've seen it.

Sorry I couldn't've been of more help.

Timing belt due at 108,000 miles on an '09 D5 I believe.

This group only goes to '07 though so you may be better off asking the '08 onwards group.

My 06 book says 108k on the 18k service schedule and 100k on the 12.5k service schedule.

Thank you and my mistake as I didn't realise the group was split!
