S40 (New) Electrics : - Dashboard lights/all interior lights

Hello everyone! Just joined the site today, since ive got my new toy an s40 2L D sport 2006.

My question is anybody knows are those bulbs at the speedo /dashboard/control panel are replaceable or are they the factory welded ones?

If they aren't, a wee guide could be helpful in order to replace the existing green lights to blue one,in almost every interior spot which has a light on.

The DIM in my 2006 V50 was entirely soldered in LED's. This is not to say you couldn't pull them from the board and replace them with another color.

Here are some pix I took in the process of opening my DIM. (One LED was blown out, and the dealer wanted $1700 to replace the DIM and reprogram it).

Well, thats what i was afraid of, and it seems the v50 and s40 basicly same built in electric wiring/engine etc with a small difference only.

So did you manage to replace and solder the new leds on the speedo? What was the cost of reprogramming itself?
