Thank you for that, yes very helpful. Did you do yours during car journeys? I am still wondering if I can do it with just the ignition on and while connected to maintenance charger. I don't have any long journeys lined up at the moment and I don't want to make a start entering the licence number, etc, and then find the system is out of commission for ages!!

Hi Xceed. No need to have ignition on. Just switch on Sensus with the On/Off button.
I did mine mainly while car was parked outside house + a couple of short journeys. The system shuts down about every 15 mins, so I just set a reminder to go and restart it each time. Didn't cause any problems at all. Don't know how much juice the DVD plus sensus being on uses but it can't be that much and didn't cause any issues with battery.

Just started installation programme on my car. Sensus turned on, first disc inserted but no response until I turned to Ignition2...

Hmm. Interesting. Not like that on mine, did the whole thing just by switching on with the radio/sensus on/off button. No need for key to be inserted at all.

i have just done the upgrade on my S60 and now the voice activation part doesn't work.

If i use the voice activated programming feature, i say "Navigation go to address" it asks me for a town name and no matter what i say it say it fails to recognize any towns.

The same thing happens if i try and navigate to a postcode using voice activation.

Voice activation works fine on the phone....

does anyone have any ideas?

Paul

Angry Speed Camera Warnings

Please note that for all MY12 vehicles the latest update does not include warnings of Speed Cameras, Volvo Customer Service explained that Volvo decided to remove them, it perhaps would be a good idea to explain what the update removes so if you are more interested in identifying the Camera sites rather than a new road in Eastern Europe you have the option of leaving the system as it is..

The camera's were never on the MY12 cars. There is a thread explaining how to load them onto your system.

The regulations have changed in France and I believe other countries about having such warning information available.
