SRS light now on permanently. Can anyone advise me the correct procedure to take so that the light goes out.

Will look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Remove instrument panel, remove SRS bulb light job done.

But seriously, you've got a fault in the system, Tis going to be a couple of things, either a faulty wheel sensor, theres one on each wheel. Or a faulty ABS Unit. Wheel sensors pick up from a tone ring(looks like a cog), and sometimes the tone ring gets filled up with road dirt and grit and the sensor then cant take a reading so flags up an error message.

As to how to check which is faulty i'm not to sure off the top of my head as i avoid abs cars myself. But i'll have a think and post later.

SRS is for airbag, not ABS! You really need to have the code read out. But likely to be bad connections on wiring under the seats or the connection between steering wheel and column - the 'clock spring'.
