Default 440se won't start

Just drove home and parked, then it wouldn't start again. Have power to the solonoid but not to the trigger.

Suspect the immobiliser, it's a MSI 4031, but as the vehicle was purchased second hand there is no paperwork on this unit.

If anyone has any knowledge of this immobiliser or a wiring diagram it would be most helpful, if only to remove the unit and install a newer version.

Failing that it looks like it will be a matter of identifying and reconnecting all the interrupted wiring.

Have searched the web for info on MSI but with no luck.

Any suggestions or info would be greatfully received.

cheers

It won't be as bad as you think to do away with it. In my job as a technician I regularly do away with knackared aftermarket immobilisers. Just trace the wires from it to their source and there will most likely be some piggy backing wiring that can just be cut off and a couple of wires bypassed, just remove these and reconnect original wiring.
