Have scorpions on the car (they came with the car, which I bought last week - great car by the way, I love it). The rears are fine (6mm tread), the fronts are down to the wear bars!

So my options are:
1) get 2 new scorpions, put them on the front.
2) change all 4, going for Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extremes. These should be great in the winter. However will need to run them all year, due to cost. I only do 8k per annum. So hopefully winter tryes wont wear out that quickly.

I live in a small village that suffers when it snows, so keen to be able to handle snow. Not sure whether the scorpions would manage this.

Any thoughts?
I would put new Wintracs on the back and move the rear scorpions to the front. Just before winter you can then replace those 2 Scorpions with Wintracs as well

Definitely consider it, thanks !

Bought from Blackcircles last time (Winters for the VRS) & both service/price excellent (unbeatable on price).

Have used a local indy before, but he couldn't match them last time.

Still debating the winter v all weather v standard tyres conundrum.

I'll maybe phone Colin's - was that £600 all in inc fitting etc (appreciate it will go up in a year)
