Default Folding mirrors when locking - failure

I had previously set the mirrors to fold when i lock the car.

the other day, i had the need to fold them in manually, and since then they no longer fold in when i lock the car.

I have tried reseting the function in the menu to no avail

anyone come across this, or have any pointers?

its due its first service next month, so if all else fails, i'll just let them sort it then.

Of no help I know, but just to say that this sounds like a fault. I have folded and unfolded the mirrors a number of times by pressing L and R buttons at the same time, and the car continues to fold the mirrors when I lock up. Good luck on getting this sorted.

when i bought my car, it didn't work, but that was because i have PCC and the dealer was showing me the autolock function. they don't function together - bizarrely. it worked when using the push button on the door handle.

Do the mirrors still come in when you press L & R together?

Yes I had this problem, checked the menu and all was ok. I have PCC and suspected this had somthing to do with it but mine always seems to happen when I reverse and then press "R" to dip the right hand mirror as I reverse near a kerb. This seems to start mine off not folding. I am never quite sure how it resolves, but after a while off clicking the remote or locking with the PCC it seems back to normal pretty quick but I never have to go into the menu......

now this is wierd...it fixed itself.

i had previously just tried folding them, ...when i say manaully, i meant with the L & R buttons by the way....but that didnt resolve it.

but just on the off chance i tried folding them again today.

went to lock the car...and guess what....they worked.
must be something to do with a couple of cycles....probably in the same vain as when you just switch the PC off and on again.

all seems to be fine now.

those pesky gremins.

i use this function all the time when going through the rotherhithe tunnel. it has width restrictions posts on entry. i was behind an x5 last night, and i saw the driver had to do his manually. i had to smile.

Love it. Another one that makes me smile is the power tailgate in the supermarket car park - its funny when you see folk with hands full of carrier bags banging the bags off their heads when lifting the manual tailgate to full height - the volvo tailgate maybe slow but still a worth while feature IMHO.

yes, you're probably smiling at me because i'm one of those folk .. it helps not having to take the keys out though, so that's a bonus!

I like the way people look at the back opening up and them thinking "the back has opened" and they look around, then you walk up about 5 seconds later and they have envious eyes ;-)
