Question A/C drain - where is it?

OK, daft question time .... any previous car Ive had with air con or climate, after a long run or a very hot day, when you park the car you get drips or condensation coming from the air con drain .... anything from a few drips, to a large puddle and even lumps of ice on one Renault Espace I had ... on the SVEN the tank ..... nothing.

The climate is working OK ... the car is not damp inside and there is no smell ... its just I noticed while on holiday in Italy ... no puddles or drips under the car after parking (A/C running all the time at 18 degrees ish as it was scorching hot) .... is this normal, anything to worry about?.... what should I check before I take it to a dealer ... where is the A/C drain? ... its a MY2009 ..... any pointers?

Robin

I get a lot of water from mine under the car when the aircon is running.

Loads of water under mine too.
Stopped at a fuel station last week, and a van driver drew my attention to the large pool of liquid growing beneath the engine compartment.
I was sure it was the a/c water, but I soaked a paper towel in the stuff to make sure - it was clear and didn't smell, so I believe it was only a/c condensation.
Thanked the guy for pointing it out nonetheless.

It drips out under your left foot area , it drips on the heat shield over the particle filter so a lot will evaporate off . also the humidity affects the volume , if the air is dry you wont get any ..

you say the car is not damp inside ... you dont notice a damp floor because there are 5 inches of foam between the carpet and floor so by the time you notice damp you have 5 gallons of water in the footwell ....

Ok guys, thanks for the info, Italy was very, very hot and dry so that may explain it ... I'll have a closer look to make sure the footwells have not filled up, and keep a closer eye on it ... I'll report back

Thanks Robin

I don't have a particle filter so maybe that's why I seem get a lot.
