Out of interest how easy is it to remove (or connect to) and update the SatNav unit ?

Cheers

20 minute job - fiddly but not demanding. Once a year for update on mapping or firmware.

All works a treat.

Default Ventura SatNav for towing

Anyone any ideas on the feasability of doing an integrated fit for one of these in the XC60:

I made a hole under the rubber mat in the sat nav location. Ran a wire down to the drivers footwell and pulled the sat nav power cable up and through the hole. Wired it into the rear power socket under the drivers seat, hiding the cable under the tunnel plastic cover. Then used velcro to fix sat nav against the position it would be had it been integrated. No wires on view and easy to remove.

Same sort of approach as mine - 7 inch display will fit into the recess. Either go for a bracket / removable option (with fitting as described above) or get the thing hardwired, permanently (by a decent car audio person), with a bespoke fascia.

This is my Kenwood installed. With 7" touchscreen and Garmin satnav operating system. Does everything it should, great touchscreen and nice graphics, beautifully integrated into the dash exactly where it's meant to be.

My only concern with a product such as that is the quality of the sat nav software and potentially any warranty issues. From my perspective, the sat nav/gps must be top notch otherwise why bother. However, if the unit meets your needs, then you can't ask much more than that. So happy driving with the unit.

Looks perfect!
What kind of navi software do you have running?
Is the hardware based on ARM or MIPS architecture?
How much did you pay for it?
