Here's my Pioneer AVIC F500BT integration. Power from 12V cigarette light and sound is routed to AUX input:

Default Garmin GVN53

Has anyone yet tried Garmin GVN53 module with new display on podless version of XC60? This should connect straight to the existing display without hassle of changing it. All Garmin functionality is available then what would make this install preferable (at least by me).

This is not a genuine volvo GPS, but it works nearly the same. The main difference is this one is a touch screen where the factory one is not. The GPS can be set to rise up when you start the car or put the car in reverse. When you engage reverse the reverse camera is on the screen. The GPS is currently running Garmin maps, but as the unit uses win CE5 it can also run Tom Tom and other maps.

I have installed the unit to test it, and it still has the protective cover on the screen. As it is designed for OEM fitting it does not come with detailled instructions(only simple instruction) But I will provide full email support on how to instrall. To instal the head unit, you only need to connect 3 wires, (earth, switched 12 volt and a permanent 12 volt), the camera mounts in the light socket above the number plate and has its own light.

The unit comes with 3 remote controls, but only one has english wording the other 2 most words are in chinese. But once the unit it set up you don't need the remotes.

In the kit you will recieve the head unit(motorized screen), dash mouting plate, dash cover, wiring loom, reverse camera and wiring loom, GPS module that mounts under passenger seat, and GPS anntena. The kit includes all parts necessary to install the system.
I am happy to send better photo graphs if require.

Why pay over $4k for factory unit and extra to upgrade maps when you can buy this touch screen system with your choice of GPS system for a fraction of the price

Hello,

I'm new here, and ready to order my own XC60. I'm puzzled as to whether to order the RTI system, or install some alternative system aftermarket instead.

Coco 123's system, as well as Bonnie's Kenwood seem interesting, but there is a BUT:

The new XC60's come with the 5' screen (or the 7'' screen of the multimedia) as standard (with MyCar functions etc), so the place is taken....

Is it possible to integrate any other systems in the car's screen or....

Anyone have any ideas is welcome to enlighten me...

Hi everyone. Elliot 2 your idea sounds very interesting.

I see from your message you have the ability to make modifications to the top centre console of an XC60 to take a GPS system. Having researched online for several hours and spoken to various independant Volvo dealers, there seems to be no easy solution here for UK R/H models. Alpine now manufacture a double din unit that is only 7cm deep so would fit in this space perfectly and offer the new Apple CarPlay functionality. How much would you charge to make up a replacement facia? I am new so unable to PM you. Also, does anyone else have any experience fitting the Alpine IPX-700 in a UK XC60? if anyone has any success stories showing a 7" monitor fitted tidily into an XC60 i'd be very grateful of a pic! Thanks, Nick

Default Navigation facia

Can someone tell me or give me a link where I can get the facia? I need the one for left side drivers.
