Abs pump and module query..99 v70
Hi all
With great interest I read and followed the advice r.e the dodgy abs sensor/ecu module on my old girl...however it has not cleared any of the warning lights although it has got the speedo/odometer working. Having hunted high and low through the internet and scrapyards I cannot find a replacement part of the same number!!! On one of the many pages of the abs thread I read that you can replace the pump and module with another one of the same age but different numbers. Is this correct? We have elapsed our Mot retest time and the tax is soon to be up plus Id love to get her out again! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks sam and the moo |

Ecu number btw is 9472650....finding a replacement has been harder than finding a unicorn!
Had Abs sensors checked and the front nearside changed a year back..also tried wiggling the key..test driving up to thirty..disconnecting the battery etc and am now starting to go grey over it! |

Having just looked into this (fingers crossed a code reset did the trick after new sensors) there are a number of people offering a 24hour or 2 day rebuild service, taking the old ecu off won't affect the driving of the car.
Have you tried the card-between-module trick? That worked for a couple of friends... The light may come on again, but as long as it's after the tester has looked at it |

There are companies that repair them, but have you enquired of FRF Volvo the cost of a new one?
