Question Best Tyres for a young family

Hello everyone. I've just placed my order for an SE Lux Premium today, and am now angsting about whether I should downgrade from 18 inch alloy wheels to 17 inch, to give a more comfortable ride for the sleeping babies. I'd be really interested in hearing any opinions based on experience of either. Many thanks! Jusy

Hi Jusy,

I have just (2 hrs ago!) come home after trading in my 17" rims for a new set of 18". IMHO, stay with your 18", there is very little difference and the 18's look far better and offer slightly better road holding. I also have the D5 SE Premium, a 1 yr old and a 5 yr old. Enjoy your XC60 when it comes, it's the best car I've ever had! Hope this helps,
Johsie

i have a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 yr old. i have 18" wheels on an SE Lux. you don't feel the road, i promise you. in fact, when the younger one get a a bit restless, i find myself looking for bumps in the road to help soothe him!
