Yes i did earth the motor it spins up fine ....bit of a typo ref fan speed yes i have the variable slider but when checking the legend in the fuse box the two fan associated fuses stated speeds 1-3 and Speed 4 IIRC perhaps the legend sticker doesn't differentiate between MCC and ECC ?? was just confirming a previous post ref checking the fuses

Hi all finally got the power stage after a 2 week wait ( slowest ebay seller ever !! ) plugged it in and all was good......for a few minutes then the blower stopped again...... switched the ignition off and on again and it started blowing, if i keep the blower running anything up to 3/4 speed it runs fine so i'm assuming the motor is pulling too much current at full speed and is tripping an overload in the power stage and that's possibly why it failed ?? i did swap out the ECC unit with the other one i purchased just to check it worked and all good there,,,,,looks like i'm in for a motor as well going to see how the next few days go and when funds allow buy a new blower motor
Big Thanks to you guys for all the advice Regards Simon

Default Blower fan

There's a fuse under the dashboard somewhere near the fan you can replace it for about £100-00 but I souldered a new fuse in ,probably from RS for a couple of £s a while ago (forget these things sometimes)
