Indicator failure

To date I’ve managed to get a photograph of the failure message displayed and stored in the the Sensus car status messages.

At times I may miss the red warning triangle that pops up near near the instrument dials, which only pops up for second or 2.

When it fails to come on do you get the warnings in Car Status or any visible warnings?

I got a dash warning light and car status update in the centre screen each time if played up/failed.

In my case though, it was quite obvious something was wrong regardless. Pulling the stalk down to turn right just failed to do anything at times.

Update:
20 notifications of indicator failure since November.
Dealer changed the steering wheel module and stalks, under warranty.

So a new steering wheel module was replaced in March (Pre-lockdown)whilst under original manufacture warranty.

Now I have noticed some of the right hand controls on the wheel itself are not functioning. Anyone experienced similar?

The extended warranty might be getting used sooner than I thought.

I had this happen a few times when my car was new, unable to turn volume up or down or toggle tracks etc, it always worked again after turning engine off an on or if changed from radio to usb in Sensus and back to radio, it corrected itself and have not had any problem since, there have been a few people on here who have had the right hand selector replaced to sort this problem out.

I thought indicator failure was a problem that had gone away but obviously not.

Quite a few reports in the early days then has been very quiet. I am sure it was a module replacement that fixed it before. I had a similar but "wiper failure". Had the message pop up 48 times in one 45 minute journey which got a bit wearing. Had the module swapped out on warranty and no issues since.

One of the very early cars - on a 65 plate - was given as a long termer to Erin Baker at the Daily Telegraph. This had to go back to the dealer for indicator failure.....

I've had two failures of this module in rapid succession...so don't assume that the new module hasn't gone pop again !

Update, so following indicator stalk and steering module replace in March. I have now had the right steering wheel controls replaced as the right/left and sect button failed. Glad of the extended warranty!
