just happend to me today transmission service required and anti skid service required came up and stuck in one gear only turned car off and on again all fine now.
any ideas???
d5 185bhp. had gearbox oil changed couple of weeks ago by independent volvo specialist. otherwise gearbox is smooth

I have just had a "transmission service required" orange warning - what is needed and how much should I expect to pay?

Any thing up to £5000 but first thing is to have the codes read and get an oil change done if it has not been done yet and also get the gearbox updates done all this depends on year and if it has been used for towing.

No filter but oil only look on here for gearbox oil change gibbons method. Try below

I have the same issue on a 2004 D5 SE with 85k, was told anything from £700 - 5k depending on the issue. My local independent specialist is hooking it up to the matrix on thursday for £45 +vat so see whats caused the cars sense of humour failure.

If anyone can offer an educated guess, I've also noticed that the gearbox light stays on D whatever position its in, its sluggish turning an increase in revs into movement and finally when I take my foot off the break whilst in drive it doesn't pull forward slowly as usual. Any ideas anyone?
