  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default alarm problem

my v70 for the last few day has been showing alarm triggered when ive left it for a few hours the audiable alarm never goes off but the lights flash does this sound like the internal batt in the siren ?

If the siren does not sound then yes I would say probably the battery is toast and might have leaked on the the PCB.

Regarding the triggering if you don't have a door open warning and you get the flash from the indicators to say all is well when you lock the car and arm the alarm then it might be worth checking the wire guard connections on the two rear windows,

I have recently had problems with mine, see my posts on this thread page 2

it's worth a try but just before you get your hopes up too much, i took mine apart and it was a total mess inside, despite a careful attempt at cleaning and it not being my first rodeo with electrical components it was well past repair.. there's a chance you might need a new one

I seem to recall reading about someone who ordered 2 or 3 off ebay and lucked out with one that was in serviceable condition, I just ordered brand new but they're not cheap

fingers crossed though, certainly worth a punt at like £6 or whatever a battery cost

Good god how long ago did you last buy a siren battery ?

they start at £12 on ebay now days and go up from there some sellers are asking over £20.
