Front/rear jacking points?

Preparing to lift the car for the first time but I've got very limited access down one side as there's a wall and no way I can get a trolley jack down there. The other side is completely open. I can't move the car though as it's a narrow private driveway immediately bordered by a public single track lane, continuous flat surface between them.

I know where the jacking points are under the sills and on the subframe mounting plates. Ideally I'd lift the entire front/rear (one at a time, two wheels on ground at all times) from a single central point, so the axle's wheels remain at equal height, but there is no such central point I'm aware of or seen used - or are the subframe mounting plates central enough that it would work?

Is it possible to jack under one of those plates (triangular pieces) from the front, and have the axle raise equally enough to get axle stands under the sill jacking points, without risking damage? What about the rear?

If not I think I'll need to do it a corner at a time, keeping three wheels on the ground, jacking under the sill points and putting an axle stand under the subframe plate.

Planning to drain the oil, then replace lower torque rod + right-side engine mount. Got new rear discs + pads to put on too but might not be done at the same time.

So to jack the car up at the front I have just used a trolley jack under the front of the subframe, I did add a length of 4x2" between the jack and the subframe just to spread the load.

For the rear assuming its the same as the XC/V70 there is no easy place to jack in the centre of the car because the exhaust runs down the centre, unless you have a tow bar fitted , I do have a tow bar which has a heavy mounting for the removable part that hangs below the car so I have used that in the past.

carefully, bearing in mind a recent post where someone did that and it slipped off and they punched a big hole in the bottom of the radiator...

Just to add...that was because they had forgot to release the handbrake whilst doing so. Simple error they won't make again.

I always raise the front of car from the centre of the subframe as it gives a clean lift and prevents putting unnecessary pressure on various suspension components. As said the rear is trickier, if you don't have a towbar fitted, so bring it up on one side, put an axle stand in a suitable location and then bring up the other side

Oh...and if it's automatic knock it into neutral whilst lifting and lowering again to prevent damage to gearbox components.
