Default Rev related graunching noise after clutch change

So after digging deep (£1400* deep) and getting clutch, DMF et al changed I now have an odd noise which is hard to describe - but i'll try.

Firstly the car drives fine, i've done over 500miles on the new clutch most of which was fully loaded through welsh mountains.

However when pulling away the is a mechanical graunching noise, but only at certain revs somewhere around 1500-1700 rpm (i.e. when the turbo kicks). This is new. Once at constant speed it is fine.

It is very subtle, so hesitant to take back yet.

Initially it thought maybe drive shafts, but the rev issue kinda rules that out.

Any thoughts? Turbo related? Charge air pipework?

Im doing a basic service this weekend so will be able to give it a thorough inspection.

Also, probably my imagination, but she feels very slightly down on power.

Thanks
James

*this was a difficult decision on a 15 year old car. But I need its practicality. Checked a few newer options and nothing came close.

Test the vacuum engine mounts' operation.

In the end this was the front engine brace, (that stops fore aft engine swing).

It had not been bolted up, one nut loose, the other missing....

That's all fine now, but onto slight loss in power and mpg!
