New front tyres at 20,700mls
As above, had to replace fronts, rears ok.
A bit disappointed as I usually get about 30K, wearing evenly just too quickly !! Iain

Sounds a bit on the low side as I just got nearly 40,000 from the original Pirelli Scorpion Verdes on my D4.
Still had about 3mm left but were a bit worn on insides and were slipping in the wet. Rears still have 5-6mm on them, never had tyres last this long!! |

Ha! My bike tyres last 4000 at best! Long life don't grip and good grip don't last! And they cost more than car tyres!

If I hadn't done the swap I doubt I would have got more than 20K from the fronts.

I guess it's a reasonably heavy car and with yours being FWD, it'll be harder on the fronts. I remember years ago having an A4 that I only managed 15k from the fronts.
The AWD versions always start off with all wheels powered even in the dry so the power is spread evenly. I got over 40k from mine but changed then all at the same time to CrossClimates |

Tyres these days do wear more quickly , you might notice rubber dust on the bodywork behind the wheels too , and if you don't do the mileage they crack and have to replaced every 4 years anyway .. all about marketing and selling more ..

My tyre fitter doesn't rate the Pirellis at all, especially in the wet, and he recommended Continentals. I only went for them as that's what was already on, and if I ever need to change all four would go for another brand. This is the first time in nearly 50 years of motoring that I've only replaced two tyres rather than all four. Iain
