Default Airbag fault

MoT fail today due to a few trivialities (cvj boots and a headlamp bulb that actually blew last night) and an airbag warning light. The last time the airbag light came on (after some serious messing with the seat to get at the heater resistor pack) RobbieH of this very forum very kindly turned it off for me. It came on again when I did the resistor pack again so I assumed it would turn off again no trouble.

Due to time pressures and not wanting to take advantage of RobbieH's kind nature, I left it to my MoT guy to sort out. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to. He has got the fault codes:

017D Seatbelt reminder signal too low
013D Left SIPS bag faulty signal

but the light wouldn't turn off for him. He's happy to have a play with it but are there any obvious known issues to check for first?

It might be a case of giving the connector under the seat a wiggle, then attempt to reset the light.

Yes I've seen threads saying about dodgy connectors that can get corrosion on them.
Mine failed mot on SRS light last time which turned out to be the passenger seat belt stalk, not sure on the fault code, but got a seat belt stalk from scrappers and the fault cleared

The bird that owned the car before me splashed so much coffee around the cockpit
that I'm surprised that when I turn the engine off that the engine actually turns off.

Had a look today and it was fairly inconclusive. The plugs look clean and secure. Gave 'em a wiggle and they are still secure. Unfortunately I don't have the kit to try and turn the bloody thing off so I need to go back to the garage or somewhere and get them to have another go.

On the plus side the headlights both now work.

All sorted. I left it in the hands of the garage who do my moTs for me. Some jiggling of the connections under the seat and the light turned off.
