Key And Remote Fob Question

My new C70 only came with one key. There are keys the same on Fleabay that are uncut with a transponder in them.
Can I buy one of these and get it coded to the car at a dealer?? Same with the 3 button remote fob?

Highly doubt the dealership will code aftermarket keys. Why not try your local key cutters might be cheaper

When I last went to volvo for a key,I bought a 850 2.5 with no keys.
The key cosy £25 with vat,coding varied but I ended up getting it done for free so my advise is,go volvo.
There a guy called Rufe on here,works for volvo,he can get you discount and your key.The only problem I can see is,providing Him I.D. give him a pm,nice bloke and very very help full

They will cut it but coding is a main dealer only and as you say,cant see them coding a aftermarket.Doubt the 3 frob buttoned alarm would work as that was for the 850s if I remember.
Go to volvo or try Rufe as I can see you wasting money here.
Just thought,even if Rufe could sort you a key and fob,he wouldm't be able to code them unless you took the car to him,pop in your main dealer,there not that expensive but be sure to querry the coding a few times,just ring and hope your speaking to some one else each time as they like to make there own prices,mine started at £140 then dropped to £40 and then on the day they said don't worry about it ;-)
