Prepare to be suprised...

URBAN: 19.1 MPG

COMBI: 25.0 MPG

EXTRA: 30.2 MPG

I'm impressed. Partly due to the fact the 3.0 TDI has the same fuel economy but mainly due to the fact that most of our S40's would return the same city figures!

Now thats some serious machinery!

Hi JPW,

I too am interested in your car. If you haven't sold it could you send me your number please?

I can't pm you mine, even though I could have done four years ago. Not sure why my privileges have been revoked!

Cheers,
Neil

Sold to the 1st person to see it; "sa15".
Mixed emotions now but it's gone to a good home.

I avoid all French cars and Alphas like the plague which is a shame because IMO alpha have a few beautifully designed cars.
I would avoid Alpha too, but Love ALFA Romeo's I have a proper V6 alfa and it is not more expensive to run and look after than what the T4 is and hasn't had any issues either, so feel you slating of the Alfa is unfair, french cars yes totally agree.

I only slate as my uncle has had alphas ALL his life, more than he cares to remember and all of them have been utter crap! That's what I'm basing it on It seems the newer they get the worse they get too.

He has atm an old alfa romeo 156 and an alfa romeo 159 - 156 hasn't been too bad but 159 has been a POS! In the garage every other week with some kinda problem - He absolutely loves them though and keeps splashing the cash on them

EDIT: JPW - Congrats on the sale

Apart from 1 all mine have been super reliable, I had a 164 cloverleaf 3.0 v6 12v, On my 3rd V6 166 and a brief fling with a 2.0 twin spark GTV.

There great cars, drive one and you will be hooked!
