new 12month ticket

yep it was that time of year again. any way took v40 for mot last week, failed on corroded brake pipes both that run front to rear. testing station i
went to said they could do them but they charge £56 an hour labour + vat!!!!
anyway had a shop around and the local garage i usually go to said about £150 all-in, but he couldn't do them due to being to busy. so went to another garage which is only a couple of streets away. he wanted to have a look first, so he put car up on his lift, had a good look and then quoted me £150. so took it in yesterday morning and picked it up at tea-time all done. so took it back for re-test today and went through o.k. in fact the tester even commented on how well the job had been done. now going slightly off topic, but on my way home i called in on the guy and mentioned what the tester had said. the fella in the garage looked taken aback when i told him. i said to him credit where credits due. i said i bet you always get people saying you've done a crap job so i just thought you'd like to know what the tester had said.

Good stuff Jez - I bet youll go back again. Its good for these guys to get positive feedback. It can be hard to find a decent garage these days. You should name the garage so other folks nearby to you can use them

thanks for the replies guys, yep not bad 244t (andrew) 187and 1/2 k on now.
bye the way the garage is called Castle Garage on Bold street Accrington.
actually spoke to a neighbour yesterday and he said quite alot of people he know use them and swear by them.
