Dodgy Starting & strange fault code - Help Please

Hi there,

X reg 2.0T petrol V40, c74000 miles.

Ive tried to search for this, but can't find anything that is exactly the same anywhere..

About two weeks ago fill the car up with petrol, and leaving the garage the engine light came on. Next morning the car starts up and cuts out straight away. Took it to the local garage, who diagnosed code P0237 (low pressure sensor) and suggested that it might be the map - but to leave it a day or two, to see if any further problems developed.

The car starts really rough - touch the throttle and it dies. Turn it off, start up again and will run fine all day long - turbo kicking in fine, idles fine etc.

Filled up with petrol again the other day, and it took me 20 minutes to leave the petrol station as it would not run or respond to the throttle.

When it did start I drove about 70 miles with no probs at all.

Please help:

Would the map cause this, and if so why
What else could it be, Ive checked the maf and that is clean
