Default difference between D4192T3 and D412T2 Engines

Hi there

I have a 2002 volvo 1.9 diesel estate with a T3 engine has failed and is beyond repair. I can get a T2 engine to replace. Can someone tell if if the transplant will be straight forward i.e turbo, pipes, wiring looms etc.

I know the T3 is 115 bhp and the T2 95 bhp.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

Ben

Why the D4192T4 (102 Bhp) and not the original D4192T3 (115 Bhp)?

Diesel engines are harder to get hold of comparing to Petrol ones and they tend to be pricier. They do come up every now and then on ebay

May I ask what is wrong with the original enigne?

The D4192T4 and T3 are identical . just the ECU software is different to get the extra power

Gatos

The turbo failed - oil in exhaust etc..run dry..the rest is history as they say..the car is too good to get rid off..going to be expensive.
