Default Removing headlight lens

Have a 54 reg 2.0 ltr v40 which appears to have accumulated some moisture behind the n/s headlight lens. The lens appears to be secured by four clips. Can it be removed without removing the whole unit?Thank you.

Of the top of my head I believe there's 8 clips in total. It's possible to remove the clips with the headlamp in place but then you need to reassemble so you would really need to either remove the whole headlamp unit or front bumper to get the bottom clips on properly.

Rather than remove the lens try remove one of the rubber caps at the back and allow it to breathe for a day or two, the heat from the bulb, if you have your DRLs on, will assist in drying it out too, and then pop back on the cap.

Hi, I have the same problem, but there is not too much in there. I was thinking of taking the lens off but leaning more towards taking off the black cap for a day or two.

I think I will try your suggestion and take the cap off tomorrow - providing it is not snowing - I don't want to make it worse
