That said, without naming names (which at this stage wouldn't be fair) but taking everyone strictly in order in which they expressed an interest (which would only be fair) you wouldn't be right at the top of people "potentially interested" in my "potential sale". David |

What would put Volvo2002 right at the top of the list?

TBH I would need to sell mine and then put the money on top plus sort out insurance all at once. No doubt the cars price is fair considering how well looked after it is! I would pay you the 1950 if I had it sitting

Seriously though, assuming I do move to the position where the car is actually to be sold, then Volvo2002 - or anyone else, for that matter, who is seriously interested - would be top of the list if the other forum member who privately expressed considerable interest to me the other day didn't want to pursue matters. I am not aiming for a bidding war or else I'd put the car on E-bay; I have named my price and, although that could be open to a little bit of negotiation, I am not going to invite people to start going above it. Obviously the person who offers asking price will trump someone offering less, but otherwise it's "first come first served". I feel a bit bad having this advert running at all and seeing everyone's nice comments when it isn't even 100% certain I'll sell the car; I think deciding between (potential) buyers any other way would be even more unfair! Hi DCW
I think your sale is a good sale. A 'maybe' sale or a 'maybe not' sale. You want the highest price and that's normal. Nowt unfair with that. I think when you come to sell it, you should sell it to the person you feel happiest selling it to in accordance with what you think at whatever price. Regards |
