Going to Germany for Xmas, marvellous!
I live in between Antwerp and Hasselt in Belgium, so that is on the way to Germany.

I make sure all the parts I get are seriously cleaned before I store them in my "heated" attic. Try to stick to non rusted ones (depending on price), but nowadays quality is less easy to find.

This summer we (3 of us) came over in an 855. We returned with a P1800 front axle, a door for an early 343, couple of rims & tyres, a whack of small bits and a lot of shopping.....
Depending on what car you'll be taking and how many of you are coming, I would guess a lot could come. Can you PM me with what you have on offer?
Would it be possible to bring "smaller stuff" over from Formula cars?
Saw a nice cvt clutch kit...

As you are passing you may want to see my small collection of 343's but as the 5 of em are stored at different locations you'll need some time.

There's no problem bringing over small stuff (like clutch kits), but it is likely that I will already have a set of rims and a seat in the car, so I won't have much space.

We may also bring an 850 estate, depending on who comes. I know the rear 3/4s will fit in that...mine arrived in one. My rear 3/4s can be made available for very little money...but I must emphasise that I don't want to spoil Tim's sale, so I'll wait until anything he is selling has gone before I tack my stuff onto the back of this. The other problem with delivering them is that it loses two seats from the car, which makes the trip more expensive...

cheers

James

Tim,
Ieper (Ypres) is approx. a 90-110 min drive from my place so not that far.
The shipping costs are ludicrous indeed. I suspect that they are compensating for their losses playing Lotto (or buying banks).

If it would be possible to take them over to Ypres I would be glad to pick it up over there. Don't mind a 6 month wait, what will you be driving?. Do you want me to bid on ebay than on it or do you want me to sit and see and take it if not sold.
Have you sold the 480 bonnet?

James,
As I still have 4 343's ('76, 2*'77 and 78) to restore I would'nt worry about upsetting Tims offer. I'll probably have to source bits for an '80 343 Chapron owned by a friend.
Can you give me an idea on what kind af a delivery charge you are thinking of, should you be losing passengers?

Ypres Rally is 19/20th June http://www.ypresrally.com/ and probably using the S1600 Fiesta, the Van and rally box, are quite full of gear but should be able to fit some bits in !! But would need to off load the bits on the Wednesday previously, when the box gets unloaded !

Carry on and bid on the items you are interested in, if you work on the item UK delivery costs, that should cover it !! to bring to Ypres,

Re the 480 bonnet, make a offer via PM, and can do a buy it now listing for it

Perhaps if I buy Tim a few beers he could add my two rear 3/4s to the pile he brings over?

I would have to have a bit of a think about the delivery cost re: this Christmas. We are probably going to need two cars anyway, so it's not the cost of the second car we have to factor in...it's the loss of passengers in that car!

It's times like this I miss not having an estate!

cheers

James

Never mind not having an estate, think of all the money you save because of not being able to transport the bits.

Your pints idea may be something.
Depends on if he is willing and how much he can take.

Talking

I would say get TJ thirsty by loading the car and then ....
I could also try to tempt him by offering a "Duvel" (beer)
