Are the engine mounts in a different location on the euro 4 engine? I had the bonnet open today again for a look & couldn’t see a mount under the radiator like the euro 3 does? If the turbo is controlled electronically in the euro 4 (As mentioned earlier in this thread), maybe there’s no vacuum lines? I couldn’t see any, unless I’m just looking in the wrong place.

My car is a facelift shape (P3) S80 with the grey engine cover.

Whether or not it has vacuum engine mounts, the car will still have a vacuum system regardless.

I haven't worked on 2nd Gen S80 but Vida will contain the exact mounting hardware type for your car.

Unfortunately, I haven’t got VIDA. There seems to be very limited info on the euro 4, but plenty on the euro 3.

My 2009 2.4 V70 appears to have solid mounts - cant see any pipes near them.

Did some get solids? when was the change over?

Same here. I can't see any pipes going to mine either.

Perhaps now is the time to avail yourself of the power of this piece of kit and find out the answer to your problem yourself. Having a diagnostic for your car that can be obtained so cheaply as the VIDA/DiCE kit is really worthwhile in this age of electronic cars.

Right well I've had a look on Vida and a 2007 S80 D5 doesn't have vacuum mounts so you can stop looking.

It does have a vacuum pump driven by the exhaust cam just like earlier D5 versions so have a look at my vacuum pump testing video on YouTube as the principles are the same.

Thanks cheshired5 - I was baffled looking all over the place for the vacuum lines like the euro 3. I don't suppose you have a VIDA image of the mount location, if its not too much trouble of course. I imagine there's going to be a few mounts with it being a big engine.

I'll check your vacuum video out. Thanks once again.
