Default Full beam won't stay on & auto wiper Q.

Hi folks, my full beam will not stay on at all, I am gonna take an educated guess and say I need another stalk?

Another is the auto wiper, it's a small pain having to enable it every time, what's the point in it being auto when you have to manually turn it on lol, question is, can this be programmed to come on automatically or a setting much like for the auto locking or is that a stupid question?

Main beam won't stay on if headlight is set to '0' DRL position, have you tried this?

Sorry, not sure about the rain sensor... though to be honest Volvo have made the sensor pointless, as the intermittent twisting stalk then becomes a "sensitivity adjustment" function, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having rain sensing wipers in the first place.

Oh, does it not? well go to the foot of my stairs, that's probably be it then, I could have sworn it worked that way with my C70 and S70, I never touched the light switch, perhaps I always left it as lights on and used it that way, will try it tomorrow, thanks....

I do understand the speed adjustment, as that's the same idea as my previous laguna, it just ups as lowers the sensitivity, its good of the wipers are being over sensitive or under. Its just the idea of not being enabled from the get go is what baffled me :/

They are not auto enabled in case the wipers are frozen to the screen in cold weather, stops the blades from being damaged.

Yeah put the lights 'on' at the switch, they'll function exactly the same except main beam will now engage!
Baffled me too at first...

Don't see this with mine. If I switch off with the wipers set to intermittent or on, on next start up the wipers run immediately.

Only applies to pre face lift models.
