Default Thanks..

Thanks GT123 for your interesting comments. I'm not sure about your valuation though.. I've seen worse cars sell for over 2 grand. I paid £3k for it and have spent £hundreds on it since.. Interesting points though.I probably will get a new MOT and do a few bits in the meantime as you suggested.

Mr Philpot.. Yes I remember your message on e-bay(I also remember sending you some pics via e-mail). It was one of many that I had received over the week, all of which I tried to answer honestly and accurately. Your question was something like "is it sitting lower than it should be at the rear"? to which the only possible answer was "no", as I believe that to be the case. If it was a more general question I would've been pleased to elaborate. Even better, you had my mobile no so you could've called for a chat about the car/any queries etc.. At the end of the day I tried to be honest about every negative point in the description, up-front.

On the whole though I've found the whole experience of trying to pass on this lovely old car that deserves driving and improving pretty dismal. What I really want is for someone with serious intentions to come and have a look and a drive and to make me a sensible offer..

Another issue could be that this clean looking red 2 door is also available hot on the heals of yours.

Car now sold . However the experience of selling will haunt me for a while & will make me think twice about embarking on a similar project. So many muppets out there..

Til next time..
