Default 2017 67 plate D2 V60 - oil consumption

We've had this for about 6 months now and no issues - other than it seems to use a fair bit of oil. Roughly every 3,000 miles, it asks to be topped up by half a litre. So a litre per 6,000 miles.

No signs of leaks and no smoke - although, presumably, it must be being burned.

Is this excessive? And how does it tie in with others' experience?

I wish I could check mine, not managed it yet. Done 1500 miles since change.

Anyway half litre in 3000 is nothing, negligible oil consumption. Manufactures usually say 1 litre in less 500 miles is becoming excessive!!

Out of curiosity, is your car a 1.6 litre D2 or a 2.0 litre D2?

That consumption is well within tolerances but I'd keep a close eye on it just in case it increases. I assume no leaks on the engine?

I've never had to top up my D4 AWD between services. It's coming up for 99k and I've done about 94k of that. My previous V50 Drive (1.6 D2) also never needed a top up

Has your D4 got 4 or 5-cylinder.
