Question Cargo compartment power suppl

Volvo 2014 V70 Estate D2
Want to fit a power supply to the boot which are fitting as an optional extra on the drivers side cargo compartment inner wall (sadly not mine).

Can anyone help me identify the live wire to connect to?

RIP: A 10 tonne truck up the rear of my V70 2.4 2001 estate retired it for ever.

As mentioned above you've posted in a section where we're concerned with much older models...

...however, I think you need to be careful with what you're doing - not overly so - but you need to consider how much juice will be used by the portable beer cooler in the boot first.

Often the safest thing to do is to run a dedicated wire from a spare fuse in the fuse box through the vehicle to the new socket.

Some modern electickery systems have warning sensors that are meant to tell the driver when the lights on the trailer (for example) are not working - by adding on to certain existing bits of wiring you might disrupt these systems

Default Thanks for advice

I think your advice is good. Did have concerns about the drawing of supplies that would set off alarms. Still finding my way around forum. But problem solved.
