We have 1900 miles on our 61 plate D3 AWD now and it is showing 31.5mpg on the computer and average speed of 22 mph

Was hoping for better!

60 / 40 split of town and open road (you know, sort of what I would call combined cycle!)

So far have driven 1800 miles and showing 36.7 mpg

Probably 80/20 motorway / local

It has crept up to 37.0 mpg a couple of times, then the DPF cycle or something must kick in, because the instant mpg drops to as low as 19 mpg and the average drops back again!

Mine is an Auto and cruise around 70 - 75 mph

Doesn't sound great. I would expect 36-37mpg at that average speed.

Is yours manual or auto?

Yes, it would have been really poor if you had a manual.

Default MPG Data

I keep a detailed log file recording all my fill ups & mileages etc
Since new my XC60 2.4 D5 SE AWD in 5 months has done 7,200 miles and averaged 29.58 mpg with a range of 33.53 over 355 miles of constant motorway averaging 80 mph down to mid 28's doing local commutes and town trips. I have NOT noticed any difference in mpg since my Polestar upgrade which is what I expected anyway.

My driving style is "Push-On" with no hanging around & I think the above figures are quite acceptable.
As a comparision my previous V70 T5 Petrol averaged 24.12 over 75,500 miles!

Hope this is of value

Broke through the 37mpg barrier last night and now showing 37.1mpg from new on clock having covered 13660 miles.

My Fuelly numbers tell me I have averaged 35.9 over the last 3170 miles.

Getting better but I now drive like its a Sunday. Though I must admit I am enjoying the relaxed nature of the car. If I need a blast I get the toy out of the garage.
