Can anyone out there help me obtain a replacement Heater Resistor Unit for my 360, I believe they are unobtainable new from Volvo ? does anyone have one lying about, or know of a 300 lying somewhere for spares?
Thanks,
kevin.

Pretty much *nothing* is available from Volvo new I have some second hand ones.

Alternatively, there's a rumour that the ones for an early Golf (mk1) are virtually a drop-in - they just use bullet connectors instead of spades. These may be more readily available new.

Pretty much everything still has a resistor pack, so fitting a modern one from a different car is an option. I'm in favour of picking my battles with parts...less time spent on things like this means more time can be spent on truly 300-specific parts like body panels.
Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nk...r+fan+resistor

cheers

James

I used a mk2 Golf, but pretty much every car uses the same principle, so yup, it's not a hard job to use anything. Find something super common, make an adapter loom so you don't cut the 300 loom.

That's for a car up to ch no -154579 with air con. It has 5 terminals and no cage round the resistor wires.
