Default V70 2003 Information display going nuts

Hi guys,

It's been a week now since my V70 developed strange info display behaviour. When turned on it displays only backlight, without letters, than every few minutes it shows info for few seconds. After about 15 minutes of driving it stops behaving strange and work like it should. Also there are times when it displays unrecognizable signs. Did anyone else had similar issue?

Has anyone not had it might be more to the point.
Most likely the DIM is failing.
Loads of threads here about it and links to repair outfits.
Here's one that has a good reputation. I used them.

And I fully agree..

Trouble is..

Novo Mesto (Slovenia) is mere 1014 miles (roughly 1650km) from Volvodiagnostic...

I'm not sure would I want to make such a trip to have my dim fixed.

Still.. This is the best place I know to do such a job.

Unfortunately I cannot point you in direction of such a "magician" that would be somewhat more... local to you..

Lukas will post out a service exchange unit to you and then refund the difference on receipt of the old one. Just tell him what km you want dialled in on the DIM.
