Default V70 headlight squirters

Question: Can we disable the headlight squirters on our cars?

I'm looking for a way to turn them off as they are never needed.
They use a lot of fluid and squirt all over the bonnet AND windshield at speed.

They're not required in The Garden State.

Could this feature be a function in VIDA?

Are they electric (the pop-up function) or are they entirely pressure driven?

I know, I know, I should just be glad mine work. I so despise toys in cars.

Does the car have 2 washer pumps on the washer reservoir? If so one would be for windows and other for headlamps so you could identify which pump does what and simply unplug the relevant one?

Another thought is there a separate relay for the headlight washers that could be removed to stop them operating?
