I do it myself; takes about 10 mins per wheel. You'll need a torque wrench to accurately tighten the bolts. Don't forget to mark the wheels (I use a Sharpie) so that you can swap them front to back if you want even tyre wear across all the tyres thus allowing all 4 to be replaced at the same time.

It takes me longer to clean the wheels properly before storage than to actually swap them.

Definitely agree with the proportion of time spent cleaning off the winter muck and prepping them for the next season, compared to time to change. After having spent the time this year I won't actually be using them as it looks like I'm changing to a V60 at the end of the month.

It's no problem to do it yourself. It also gives you the opportunity to take a look at things such as the brakes.
Use a decent jack. A 2 ton model will do, a 3 ton model gives more stability (I prefer a Trolley jack).
I never use the jack than comes with the car. As already mentioned, use a torque key.
