Default Amazonia Cars

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of Amazonia, Suffolk. Not to be confused with Amazon Cars, although I think they're relatively close to each other.
Thanks,
jimmy

Default research

Hey Dai
Well firstly because they're based pretty near me and I just wanted some opinions about quality of work etc. I am restoring an 1800s and am nearing the stage of putting it out to be worked on.
Cheers,
Jimmy

I have not seen any of there work. Your best bet is to go and see them ask to look at some cars they are doing-have done. Also ask if they will take pictures as the work on your car progreses.
I have always taken pictures of the cars I have done as it keeps a good record.

Dont just jump in and commit yourself - have a bit of time to think about it.

Default I'm a satisfied customer

I bought my Amazon from Brian Gue (the proprietor) five years and 25000miles ago and have been very happy.
You can see pictures of my car at http://community.webshots.com/user/eastwoodman
My car had been built as his demonstrator, and my only complaint is that he put too much paint on!
When I have needed secondhand spares he has always supplied them at very fair prices.
I get all my service bits and upgrading parts from Rob at Amazon Cars a few miles down the road.

I get most of my bodywork done with Brian because this was always his speciality, plus he has a paint-shop, so you can get it all done and dusted. Also he has lots of breakers so you can usually get a good S/H part rather than splash out on a new one. He will also go the extra mile and run you to the station at Diss if he has time.

Rob and Emma at Amazon Cars are also extremely helpful and I've never had a problem with parts or servicing.

Hi Brian,

Please forgive my ignorance of such matters, but can you elaborate a little on your comment about 'putting on too much paint'? I am intending to see Brian for an estimate for a bare-metal respray of my 1800 and am intrigued by your comment. What are the implications of being over-generous with the paint? Many thanks indeed for your assistance.

Kindest regards and all good wishes,

Peter A
