Default Tow bar electrics

Hi,

I've just purchased a Witter detachable tow bar for my 05 V70 (vl35r) which I intend to fit myself, however it doesn't come with any electrics. I only intend to tow a boat or medium trailer, can anyone advise which electrics are required and the easiest to fit ? Any hints tips on tow bar fitting also appreciated !

I would agree, get the proper Volvo kit; it simply plugs into the existing harness. A 7 pin socket will be enough for a boat trailer.
You certainly don't want to be messing about with the wiring on modern cars; leave the Scotch Locks in your toolbox until you buy an old car.
