Volvo V50 R Design Sport - Airbag Control Unit
Hi,
New to this forum, so hi 👋 Just purchased a 2009 V50 R Design Sport. The SRS was on, so had this diagnosed and the Airbag Control Unit came up. All I need to know is; I have taken of the Unit, and the part number etc are all on there, however when I search for a used one on EBay, I cannot find the exact one I have taken off - the product number doesn’t match, yet all the wording does. So, upon searching the WWW, I can see exactly the same unit, same wording, yet different number(s) - Will this fit mine ?? I have a few lined up, but don’t want to purchase until I know it would be a direct replace my. Thanks |

CFFF - Control Module.
0005 - Battery - Voltage Too Low So it’s not a straight buy another day from EBay, plug in and your all sorted ? I suppose you would have to have it then re-diagnostic checked and clear the fault code(s) Cheers |

" Internal fault" The part number for your SRS module is 31334738 You cant have missed that warning in yellow I mentioned , Each unit is configured to the particular car's specification with software as said on the label , it also stores usage statistics . The only option of a SAFE repair is as new module and software reload . No one can recommend anything else with that warning sticker on it ... This is a vital safety critical component ..

yes crash data can delete hard codes by reading the eprom chip and re loading clean information they do a mail order service. its very common and can sometimes be caused by low voltage or a failing alternator. visit there facebook page for info

So is CrashData literally the only way ??
I’ve seen on the internet someone made reference to buying another one (used & fully working), plugged it in and had a diagnostic tool which then cleared the code - am I mistaken ?? Thank you |

No, a dealer will sell you one.
It is liable to be a bit spendy, but its worth picking up the phone and at least asking as they're not always as painfully priced as people assume. You also have the added benefit that you can be certain it will work when you really need it to.

I cannot simply purchase another, second hand, and plug it in ?? |
