Default Tailgate Trim

My rear washer jet has blocked and I want to get the pipe off and flush through.

Can anybody advise on how to remove tailgate trim please. I'm interested in where the screws and more especially the clips are. I don't want to break them by pulling the wrong way etc.

Thanks.

You first need to prise the handle cover off - use a large screwdriver on both sides and the cover plate comes off - this acts as a wedge for clips inside so the handle is then loose.

The rest just pulls off - I've done it a few times trying to fix a rattle and went and bought some new clips last week from the dealer - 6 of them at 60p ach - so not too much money if it goes wrong.

You're problem should be fixed under warranty though - mine was.

Thanks for reply Rich. This is the second time that mine has blocked resulting in pipe coming off causing water to run out of bottom of tailgate.

It was fixed under warrenty lasttime, but I thought it quicker to have a look myself this time and only get back to dealer if I see something that needs replacing.

regards
Jez
