Default C70 T5 - check a car in Slough

Hi,

I find myself drawn to this car:
https://www.automotiveberkshire.co.u...=website-visit

However, I'm in The Netherlands, kind of hard to swing by for a look. If there is anybody in the vicinity (Slough) willing and able to take a look I would be so grateful. Just a general idea of whether the car (and dealership) are worth pursuing would be great. Any tips and info much appreciated.

Oh, and yes, I am aware the steering wheel is on the other side ;-)

Kind regards, Hans

Hi Hans, just fyi I enquired a month ago whether the belt change had happened and was told that it was chain driven...

Not saying that means anything (except that it hasn't been done!) but you are right to be approaching with caution.

Definitely approach with caution if they said that.

The T5 engine is not chain driven for a start!

Another numpty dealer selling cars they know nothing about.

Hi Bonefishblues and others,
thanks for your reply - and caution. I can handle some delayed maintenance, provided the rest is solid. Hence the request for boots on the ground, so to speak. I'm also aware of the MOT advisories.
Again, thanks for any and all insight!

Slough is a complete sh1th0le and best avoided. I wouldnt bother going there to look at a used car at any price.

You can try Carpol Garage in Slough. They might be able to help you.

I should think the car’s long gone by now.
